There are areas where hand pump wells aren’t an option as the water is too deep in the ground. Here, it is very difficult to build a working well, and even once a well is built, the water will be hundreds of feet in the ground and very hard to get it out.
We have a team prepared to dig these wells and install solar powered water pumps to get the water out, but it costs 3,000$ to dig these wells, and 1,000$ for a solar pump to be installed.
We’ve installed between 5-6 solar pumps so far, but there are many locations in urgent need of water, and we’re looking for the funds to build these proper wells with solar pumps.
